RC Lichy & Associate is an internationally recognized roofing and waterproofing consulting firm. We have been striving for excellence in the roofing and waterproofing industry for more than thirty years. RC Lichy & Associates has no affiliation with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, or installers of roofing, waterproofing, or restoration materials that might create a conflict of interest.
Robert C. Lichy
The founder and principal of RC Lichy & Associates, Robert C. Lichy, is a Certified Professional Roofing Consultant (CPRC), Certified Professional Waterproofing Consultant (SPWC), and a Registered Roofing Consultant (RRC). He is a past President of the Institute of Roofing and Waterproofing Consultants and founding chair of the Roofing Consultants Education Foundation. He has been actively engaged in the consulting profession since 1976. He is a speaker at various trade organizations seminars. He has been the designer and manager of numerous major roofing and waterproofing projects. He has been accepted as an expert in court.
Michael H. Lichy
Michael H. Lichy is a professional member of the Roofing Consultant Institute (RCI) and has been engaged in the building envelope consulting profession on a full time basis since 1994. He has specialized in steep-slope roofing and has performed over 3,800 steep-slope roofing surveys and failure investigations. He has been a speaker at trade organization seminars and has been accepted as an expert in court. He has designed and managed numerous major roofing projects.
RC Lichy & Associates provide the most extensive survey and inspection services in the industry. Our survey and inspection services include the following:
- Visual inspection of existing deck, membrane system including flashings and all other connected or related building systems or materials.
- Investigation of reported and discovered leaks
- Laboratory analysis of roofing materials
- Assessment of reported and discovered leaks
- Non-destructive moisture measurement scan, including a contour map of the roof that indicates areas of moisture containment, migration of moisture, and moisture entry points.
- Photographic record of existing conditions
- Report of survey or inspection findings
- Recommendations for all necessary corrective actions
- Cost estimates for repair or replacement
- Plot plan of roof for phase repair or replacement including budget projection

PMMA liquid-applied roofing can tackle your thorniest roofing problems.
Around the country, facility managers are solving difficult roofing problems by using polymethy methacrylate (PMMA) cold, liquid-applied roofing systems. PMMA roofing systems have been successful in Europe and on the East Coast of the United States for several years, but now are seeing increasing use all over the country. The product is capable of performing well under adverse conditions.
CONTRACT MONITORING - No matter how extensive the survey or how applicable the specifications and drawings, the success of the project is largely dependant on the execution by the contractor. Because of the importance of the execution, RC Lichy & Associates encourage our clients to utilize our on-site quality control inspection and other contract monitoring services.
